FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, one of three main business segments for Trelleborg A.B., has promoted Hector Hernandez to human resources director, Marketing Americas.

Hernandez previously served as human resources manager for supply chain management, information systems and IT in the Americas for Trelleborg.

"Hector has demonstrated an enthusiasm for talent, whether that was when leading North American recruitment teams or collaborating regionally to create employee development opportunities," said Kristee Mahler, lead human resources director for the Americas. "His wealth of knowledge and passion for people will be a powerful addition to the team."

In his new role, Hernandez will oversee staffing and talent development, as well as provide support for growing businesses.

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is a developer and manufacturer of seals, bearings and custom components.

The Swedish company saw sales of about $3.95 billion across its sealing solutions, industrial solutions and wheel systems segments in 2021. The wheel systems segment has been divested to Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd., a deal that is expected to close at the end of this year.

More recently, Trelleborg agreed to acquire Minnesota Rubber and Plastics of Plymouth, Minn., for $950 million. That deal also is expected to be finalized by the end of this year.
